April –

• Bought a polytunnel – framework secured then cover on – and of course we have strong winds since then. – next step bought tent storm straps to put on the outside of the cover – hopefully to keep it from ending up in someone elses garden !!
• Area inside the polytunnel all dug.
• Raspberry bushes planted
• Strawberry plants all sorted
• First raised bed built – planted 1 row of Maris Piper and 1 row of King Edwards so far

Feb 15 – purchased first potatoes – Pentland Javelin – should be ready to plant in March ready to harvest in june / july

Jan 19th – Start planning allotment for this year – starting to take this growing your own fruit and veg serious now . 2012 was not too successful in terms of fruit & veg taken from the garden so this year i need to plan more carefully . I have to decide what i do want to grow in the allotment, how much do i need and when to start the seeds / plants away
